Boost by FC Rosengård (Boost by FCR) is a project funded by the European Social Fund.
FC Rosengård is one of the largest sports associations in Malmö located in the residential area of Rosengård. The famous soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic started his career here. The association is also known for its social commitment; it has extensive experience in managing successful labour market projects in partnership with public organizations and private corporations.
Boost by FCR focuses on young people aged between 16-24 in need of support during the transition from school to working life. The project offers a wide range of group and individual activities such as: health activities; training of entrepreneurial skills; education; individual competence development and work experience gained by doing work placements.
Our project method has a holistic approach for each individual participant. Participants are assigned a personal coach for their transition through this project process. Guidance and support at both individual and group levels are administered continuously.
Participants are offered a variety of activities within the 3 different fields of work, education and health. Participants are able to participate in creating their own individual action plan that caters to their needs.
Boost by FCR has currently (31.12.2014) facilitated 785 different jobs, and paved the way for 253 participants to enter full-time education.
491 young people have left Boost by FCR with a job, or entered full-time education. This represents 50 percent of the participants.
The current project, which is a case of successful collaboration between the municipality, the public employment service, private businesses and a non-profit organization, has resulted in an application for a pre study that will focus on the theme of broad collaboration and the role of the non-profit organization as an intermediary.
